On the three-hundredth anniversary of the birth of Giacomo Casanova (1725–2025), seducer, philosopher, and alchemist who transformed Eros into a universal language, Eros Frames: Casanova Encoded is presented in Venice as a tribute to his vision: love and desire understood as an imaginary journey and an ideal encounter with the other. Just a few steps from the Accademia Bridge, during the suspended days of the Venice Film Festival, Linli Art Space hosts a sensorial room overlooking the Giudecca Canal, where golden sunsets become part of the artwork itself. A secret stage, parallel to the festival, that chooses to step away from the frenzy of images in order to restore to Eros its symbolic and generative dimension.

The exhibition offers a visual and meditative experience that invites the visitor to slow down their gaze and inhabit a suspended time, evoking the same timelessness that characterizes Casanova’s stories. Here, MOOR’s sensorial artwork La Rose Interdite transforms before the viewer into an interplay of light, scents, and seduction, merging with the waves of the Lagoon. Every evening, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, the artist meets visitors for a sensorial toast, in collaboration with Domus Socolatae and Cantine Dal Maso. An off-stage of perception: images that do not invade but whisper, opening spaces of wonder and silence, like an imaginary dialogue between Venice, Casanova, and contemporary art.

How to get there by vaporetto (a few steps from the Emilio Vedova Foundation)

Line 1: get off at the Salute stop, pass the Basilica della Salute and take Calle dello Squero. Continue to the end of the street.

Lines 5.1, 5.2 or 6: get off at Zattere or Spirito Santo stops, then continue right towards Punta della Dogana along the Fondamenta delle Zattere.
